I find my beads in many places but most of them come from little shops I find when I travel. When I sit down to make something out of those beads it turns the act of creating into a wash of happy memories. Each piece consists of beads I hand picked for their beauty and ability to draw from the strength of each other. I hope some of the happiness I gained in making this follows it to you!

Some of my favorite places to find beads are; a cool beachside spot in Paia on the road to Hana in Maui, a great shop nestled in the old garden district of New Orleans, a store I happened on while walking around the Soho district of London, a wonderful place I found while riding bikes with friends through the tulip fields near La Conner Washington, and my first and always favorite is in Friday Harbor in the San Juans.

I’m very picky about the materials I use so I focus on silver, stones, Swarovski crystal, Swarovski pearls, and other high quality materials. To string the pieces I use 49 strand nylon coated stainless steel stringing wire. Most of my pendants come from a supplier I found in Maui because they use very high quality stones and sterling silver settings.
